Law 3/2024 requires registration in the ROAIIB for Real Estate Professionals in the Balearic Islands
The new Law 3/2024 on urgent measures in housing introduces, among other changes, the creation of the Mandatory Official Registry of Real Estate Agents of the Balearic Islands, together with new requirements for professional training, financial solvency and civil liability for professionals in the sector.
In recent years there has been a proliferation of real estate activity in the Balearic Islands and particularly in Menorca, which has caused serious problems for property owners and/or buyers.
This is why the ROAIIB (Official Registry of Real Estate Agents of the Balearic Islands) has been created to guarantee the professionalization of the sector, with the following aspects being mandatory:
1. Mandatory Registration: All real estate agents must officially register to operate.
2. Qualified Training: Professionals must prove specialized training.
3. Solvency and Civil Liability Guarantees: Insurance is required to protect clients and transactions.
In a growing real estate market like Menorca's, this law improves the professionalization of the sector, reinforces customer confidence and encourages safer and more transparent transactions.
SOM Menorca is duly registered with the ROAIIB, complying with all the regulations required by the new law to offer you a safe and professional service.
